What did you think of Picturegate?
June 28, 2008 on 10:39 am | By Big Bro Rob | In News | No CommentsOr was it Spitgate? Either way, it was a pretty ugly affair.
Rex was dumb for messing with the painting, but he did apologise and Jen accepted it. And, it was “just a painting” as Mohamed said - earning himself a spit in the face from vile Dennis. It was the product of a Big Brother task, it wasn’t a Monet and it wouldn’t be in an art gallery, as Jen had trouble accepting.
From my perspective, Mohamed was the innocent victim of the whole thing, being the recipient of a barrel load of abuse, aggression and then saliva. Stuart and Dale were both aggressive and contributed towards the problems, Jen was being absurd and milking it, Bex inflamed it and then Dennis was just plain awful. The spit was one thing, but his reaction after was absolutely disgusting, trying to wind Mo up with this “mwah mwah”. Good riddance to him, I say.
Who do you think came out of it worst?
White Mugs With Red Handles
June 25, 2008 on 10:17 pm | By Big Bro Rob | In Eating and Drinking | No Comments
Have you spotted those fab mugs that the Big Brother housemates are using? They are from Guzzini’s Art&Cafe range and are made from white porcelain with heat resistant plastic handles. They are available in various colours and I think the BB housemates might actually have them in various colours too, but I’m sure I’ve seen them with the red ones.
Sylvia and Mohamed Up For Eviction
June 24, 2008 on 8:06 pm | By Big Bro Rob | In News | No CommentsSylvia and Mohamed face the public vote this Friday, having received the most nominations from their housemates. Sylvia seems like to go as far as I can see, having had a few big conflicts in her short time. Mohamed can be an awkward character but I don’t see him as being hated.
So will the public turn the love square into a love triangle this Friday? And will Stu now have a clear run at Jen??
Mikey’s Standup Routine
June 24, 2008 on 2:01 pm | By Big Bro Rob | In News | No CommentsThe housemates had a talent show, and after the cringe fest that was Mario and Lisa’s routine, we had Mikey doing a standup routine which was like a slow motion car crash. If you can bear to watch it without putting your head in your hands and looking through the gaps of your fingers, you’re braver than me. The reactions of Dale, Rex, Jen and Rachel are priceless.
The Love Square
June 24, 2008 on 1:57 pm | By Big Bro Rob | In News | No CommentsSo in the beginning it was Dale and Jen. They had some kind of chemistry and apparently he went “wow” whens he came in. The Stuart, the campest housemate ever, came in, and Jen didn’t say “wow” but her eyes certainly did. Then Sylvia pounced on Stu, got in the bath with him, wanted to share the bed, and make it pretty clear she fancied him.
Eventually, Stu worked out that Sylvia liked him but told her he didn’t think like that. Sylvia went for a cry and Dale was there to comfort her. Whilst that was happening, Jen and Stu were on the sofa, both agreeing that neither of them wanted a relationship in the house, but there was some lingering looks between them.
Then Dale and Jen had a chat and Jen explained why Stu was her perfect guy, but she would make do with Dale.
Hmm… so how will this love square all pan out? i think in the end, Stu and Jen may end up together. What do you think? Who’s being genuine? And has anyone actually asked Stu if he is gay? (yes, I know he has a daughter but even so…)
Joseph Joseph Big Block Orange
June 23, 2008 on 8:09 pm | By Big Bro Rob | In Kitchen | No Comments
Not content with having the rather smart Index Chopping Board system, the Big Brother housemates also have this very funky “Big Block” chopping board from Joseph Joseph. It’s distinctive colour can often be seen on the central island in the BB kitchen. This ulta high density block is one of the toughest chopping boards you can buy.. anywhere!
At the time of writing, the Joseph Joseph ‘Big Block’ Orange costs £24.97 from Amazon.co.uk
Chairs at the Dinner Table
June 21, 2008 on 9:10 pm | By Big Bro Rob | In Lounge | No Comments
Have you spotted those cool chairs that the housemates sit on at the dinner table, when they have what seems like their daily meeting to discuss whatever issue is getting to them? They are from the New York range at Furniture Village and are available in Red, White, Orange, Blue, Green, Fuscia and Black. They cost £324 for a pair.
Sylvia and Stuart
June 21, 2008 on 9:04 pm | By Big Bro Rob | In News | No CommentsWow, Sylvia did not waste any time at all. It seems like just a day ago that she was taking huge offence at Mohamed because she has a boyfriend, and now she’s jumping into a bath with some guy and then clambering all over him in bed! Ok, we get that they know each other from the audition process, but do they *know* each other…?
Stuart Enters The Big Brother House
June 21, 2008 on 9:49 am | By Big Bro Rob | In News | No CommentsA new housemate was thrown into the mix last night, to replace the ejected Alex, although since Alex would have gone anyway, I’m not sure that she actually needed replacing. The new housemate’s name is Stuart, and he is a 25 year old property developer. He comes across as some vain type, wearing mascara I think, who gives himself a 9/10 for looks.
After going into the house, the girls looked particularly taken by him with Jennifer having a huge smile on her face and Sylvia being keen to show him around the house. I think some of the guys - Dale, in particular - looked just a teeny bit threatened. This should be fun…
Alex Removed From Big Brother House
June 18, 2008 on 10:17 pm | By Big Bro Rob | In News | No CommentsWow, Alex has been removed from the Big Brother House. Digital Spy has all the news, including a quite chilling transcript of what Alex apparently said. In text, it sounds awful, but I have no idea how she was when she said it.
It was only a matter of time, I guess. Whatever possessed them to think Alex would be a good housemate? The funny thing is, on the launch night most of them got booed but I think Alex was the only where the crowd actually shouted “Out! Out! Out! before she was even in. I thought it was a bit rough at the time, but it turns out it was a very good snap judgement.
What do you think? Are you glad to see the back of Alex?
